Spirax Sarco Workplace Tour
- In Person Event

We will start off with a greeting from the General Manager and President of Spirax Sarco. Following that, we will tour of their warehouse and STEAM lab. A free pizza lunch will be provided. In the afternoon participants will hear from young, newly graduated engineers. They will talk about their STEM journey and about their role at Spirax Sarco. And finally one of their sales engineers will do a live demonstration of one of their newest pieces of technology that they use - HoloLens. As a high school students, this is your opportunity to tour a real workplace setting and immerse yourself into the field of STEM at a young age. 

This is open to all GSM mentees ages 16 and older. In early celebration on International Women and Girls in Science, we are giving away a free tickets to the Spirax Sarco Workplace Tour.

CyberStart Canada Game Night- Virtual Event

CyberStart Canada is an organization which has designed over 200 challenges/games to help students in high school learn more about cyber security and computer science through interactive and hands-on modules. We will be doing a virtual Game Night together where mentors from CyberStart Canada will come in and talk about their experience and will guide participants through the challenges/games. No experience necessary, all we ask is that you have a laptop or computer with internet connection.

3rd Annual STEM Jeopardy Night
- Virtual Event

It's that time of year, our 3rd annual STEM Jeopardy Night! The biggest social event of the year! Test your STEM knowledge with a game of STEM Jeopardy. We encourage all mentors and mentees to attend. Prizes will be given to the winning team. If you haven't attended in previous years, this now your time to RSVP and join in on the fun.

Dr. Robin Cameron is a well known professor at McMaster and she will be giving advice on choosing a university and what to expect in your first year.
